1 The table shows the maximum speed at the highest setting at 1.5 m above the oor in a 3 m high room. This is to help you estimate draughts at head height, sitting under the ceiling fan. This specifcation refers to the highest speed. A fine gradation of the speed with as many steps as possible enables you to have draught-free operation even in winter when returning the warm air that is under the ceiling.
2 Noise measurements were carried out at the VDE Testing and Certification Institute in Offenbach/Main. The lower limit for the laboratory measurement is 32 dB(A) for sound power LW and 15 dB(A) for sound pressure LP -3m.
3 Since many ceiling fans on the market are published with one or the other value, we provide the measured noise values both as sound power LW and sound pressure LP-3m..
Your new ceiling fan needs a power supply on the ceiling where it is to be mounted. Since installing additional cables at a later date is often very costly or simply not possible, we have designed all our fans so that they can be exchanged with an existing ceiling light. Below you will find the assignment of the wiring diagrams to the model. Standard is a switched phase or continuous voltage.
(Wiring diagram 2 and 8 only required with optional accessories such as remote control, wall switch or light kit)
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS CEILING FANS INSIDE
- The fan is used to circulate dry room air. It must not be used in machines or in damp, wet, corrosive, flammable or explosive rooms and areas.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by children without supervision.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Dispose of the packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation, e.g. if swallowed!
- If unusual oscillating movements or noises occur during operation, switch off the fan immediately, secure it against being switched on again and contact the manufacturer, its customer service or a suitably qualified person.
- Parts of the safety suspension system may only be replaced with original spare parts.
- The installation of the suspension system and the electrical connection of the appliance must not be carried out by an unqualified person.
- Before installing, cleaning or servicing the fan, switch off the power by disconnecting the fuse in the fuse box and secure it against being switched on again.
- The voltage specification on the rating plate must match the local mains voltage.
- The mains connection to which the fan is connected must comply with the applicable local standards and be installed in accordance with regulations. It must have an earth connection and the fan must be connected to this.
- The fan may only be operated when fully assembled.
- Select a safe, non-hazardous installation location where no objects can get caught in the blades.
- The structure of the ceiling and the fasteners must be able to support 4 times the weight of the fan.
- All fan blades must be at least 2.30 m from the floor.
- Keep the fan away from heat sources. The minimum distance from radiant heaters and ovens is 1.5 metres.
- Do not run the cables over sharp edges and never crush the cables during installation.
- Maintenance must be carried out once a year. Check the suspension system and its components for damage, e.g. due to corrosion. If the suspension system is damaged, the fan must be taken out of operation and secured against being switched on again. Contact the manufacturer to solve the problem. If your fan has plastic blades, these must be checked for cracks and breaks, particularly near the blade fastening screws. If the blades are damaged, the fan must be taken out of operation and secured against being switched on again. Contact the manufacturer to solve the problem.
- Once installation is complete, all electrical connections must be checked again to rule out any risk of falling, fire or electric shock.
