Design of the TDA system
The ideal size and number of TDA fans depends on factors such as the height of the room and the intended use of the hall. Depending on the activity, certain air speeds must be maintained there in the occupied area.
Determining the number and size of the correct fans
First, the number of fans per 1000 m² and the size of the TDA fans are determined from the adjacent selection diagram (number of fans per 1,000 m²) depending on the room height. Starting from the vertical vector, go right at the corresponding room height to the intersection of the characteristic curve. From there, the number of required devices is determined vertically downwards. The color ranges between the individual sizes allow the planner to choose between the two dimensions.
Distances:
For planning, the dimension A, the average distance between the TDA devices, is required. This is calculated according to the following formula:
Example:
A warehouse with a length of 50 meters and a width of 30 meters is to be equipped with the TDA system. The height of the hall is 9 meters. From the table, a requirement of 6 units per 1000 m² (dashed line) is determined. The selection point is between the blue and the green area; the planner has the choice here between the TDA 1200 and TDA 1400.
Diagram: the room height determines the size of the TDA fan and the number of units per 1,000 m².
The actual size of the hall is 1500 m²; ie.:
1500 / 1000 x 6 = 9 units
The average distance A is calculated as follows in our example:
Thus, in our example, 9 devices of type TDA 1200 or TDA 1400 are required. The distance between the units would be about 12.9 m, and the distance to the cold outside wall would be (0.5 x 12.9) about 6.45m.
Control - As a control system, the TDA-Control 6 E is to be provided without an additional power unit (9 units x 0.34 A + 10% increased power consumption for speed control = 3.34 A total power consumption). If this value exceeds 6.0 A, a power extension TDA-LT 6 is to be provided.
Positioning of the room controller - The floor controller included in the scope of delivery of the TDA-Control 6E is installed about 10 cm üabove the floor, in the area surrounding the air. The ceiling fan should be installed at the highest point of the room, but not directly above a TDA fan. Attention: Do not mount on cold bridges (metal trunking, etc.). In case of doubt, the fans are glued to insulating material (eg polystyrene).
.The average distance A between 2 devices is calculated according to the adjacent formula. The distance 0.5 m to the cold outside wall should be kept as far as possible.
