Connecting a ceiling fan with lighting to the power grid
You want to replace your existing ceiling light with a ceiling fan with lighting and do not want or can not make any change to your electrical wiring for structural reasons? Then we show you here all available müglichkeiten of the circuit:
If you have a cable outlet on the ceiling with continuous voltage or an outlet that can be switched by means of a light switch, and you want to operate the fan and/or lighting with the built-in pull switch:
The phase coming from the mains is clamped on both the L-motor and L-light terminals. If light and motor have separate pull switches (ROYAL, FLAT, ALU, CARIBBEAN DREAM, ACRYLIC, BLACK MAGIC, MARIBEL, CARIBBEAN BREEZE, CABO FRIO, 1886, CLASSIC ORIGINAL, SEVILLE II, SAVOY, CARERA, OUTDOOR ELEMENTS, ISLANDER, etc.), both can be switched separately by pull switch. If you want to operate the light, as before, from the light switch as soon as you enter the room, this is also possible here. For this purpose, the pull switch of the lighting is switched on and the pull switch of the motor is switched off. If the fan is benötigt, then you have to turn on the motor at the pull switch.
If you have a cable outlet on the ceiling that has continuous voltage or that ücan be turned on and off by a light switch, and you want to install a ceiling fan with lighting that üshould be switched by a remote control:
The phase coming from mains is connected to the remote control on the input side and supplies it with voltage. The remote control separates the phases L-light and L-motor and allows independent operation of the motor and light (if any). If the remote control is suitable for dimming the light, the lighting of the ceiling fan can be dimmed (only on/off for energy saving lamps).
Für the following models, a remote control can be purchased optionally: ROYAL, FLAT, ALU, CARIBBEAN DREAM, SATIN STAR, ACRYLIC, BLACK MAGIC, SANTA PEPEO, MARIBEL, CARIBBEAN BREEZE, CABO FRIO, CLASSIC ORIGINAL, SALINAS, SEVILLE II, SAVOY, CARERA, MERCED, OUTDOOR ELEMENTS, LOUVRE, ISLANDER, WINDPOINTE.
Following models are available in the package with a remote control included:
TELESTO, TITANIUM, MULTIMAXX, NIGHT FLIGHT, MERCURY, MIRAGE, ROTARY, FALCETTO, ELICA, ECO ELEMENTS, ECO AVIATOS, LIBECCIO, CASAFAN LIBELLE, FRIZZI! VALHALLA, FLIGHT, AVALON, INDUSTRIE II, TRIBECCA, SOHO, SONIC, METRO, RETRO, ALCHEMY, LUGANO, VOLARE, INVOLUTION, ZONIX, CENTAURUS, AIR SHADOW, VETRICCIO, ENIGMA, TREVENTI.
If you have on the ceiling über a ceiling outlet with 2 separate phases, which are switched with a series or double switch and at least the motor of your ceiling fan has a pull switch:
Both phases coming from mains are switched separately to light and motor. For models with step-pull switches (ROYAL, FLAT, ALU, CARIBBEAN DREAM, ACRYLIC, BLACK MAGIC, MARIBEL, CARIBBEAN BREEZE, CABO FRIO, 1886, CLASSIC ORIGINAL, SEVILLE II, SAVOY, CARERA, OUTDOOR ELEMENTS, ISLANDER, etc.), the light can now be switched on and off from the pull switch and the motor can be switched on and off at the step preset on the pull switch. If the phase L light is controlled with a dimmer instead of a switch, the lighting of the ceiling fan can be dimmed (basically only possible with normal illuminants, not with energy-saving illuminants).
If you have a switchable outlet on the ceiling and want to replace your light switch with a step switch.
If you choose a ceiling fan with lighting, you need another phase on the ceiling for this (then ST4-150/400):
The phase coming from the mains is üled via the ST4-150 II tap changer or the SCNR5 5-stage wall transformer, which reduce the voltage for operation in steps. The neutral conductor does not have to be applied to the ST4-150 II step transformer. In the case of the SCNR5 tapped transformer, the neutral conductor is required to illuminate the on/off switch on the transformer. If there is a step-pull switch on the fan, it is set to high and then no longer needed.
Following models without additional light können so controlled:
ROYAL, FLAT, OFFICE FAN, MERKUR, ROSENHOLZ, PINIE, ACRYLIC, TELESTO, NIGHT FLIGHT, ROTARY, FALCATTO, CASAFAN LIBELLE, TRISTAR, NORDIK EVOLUTION, NORDIK DESIGN 1S, NORDIK INTERNATIONAL PLUS, NORDIK TROPICAL, MARIBEL, CABO FRIO, 1886, CLASSIC ORIGINAL, SALINAS, SEVILLE II, SAVOY, CARERA, OUTDOOR ELEMENTS, LOUVRE, ISLANDER, WINDPOINTE.
For the following models, a 3- or 4-stud switch, which is connected according to the above wiring diagram, is already included:
FLIGHT, INDUSTRIE II, TRIBECCA, SOHO, METRO, SOHO, OSPREY, INVOLUTION, ZONIX, EXTRAORDINAIRE, TREVENTI, PALISADE, BREWMASTER.
If you are unsure which control is possible in your application, please contact your electrician. He will give you expert advice. He will also provide you with information on the various installation options for our fans. By the way, CasaFan products are only available in good specialized stores and not in cheap stores. Your specialist dealer will get you our products within a short time.
