What is better? 3, 4 or 5 blades?
How many blades must a ceiling fan have to be powerful? Which is better: 2, 3, 4 or 5 blades? What number of blades is the optimum for my living space?
- Is it true that the number of blades determines the performance of a ceiling fan? The number of blades indeed determines the air performance of a fan with. However, the profile of the wings is also important, among other things. A fan blade that is optimally profiled, i.e. twisted in on itself, conveys more air than a smooth blade. To compensate for this, we have equipped all our decorative ceiling fans with 5 wooden blades instead of 4. This guarantees more smooth running. The angle of attack of the flügel is optimized to the motor power.
- What other factors determine the air performance of a ceiling fan? Brought to a highly simplified denominator, are für the air performance AND the range of a ceiling fan the following points crucial:
- The total area of all wings
- The angle of attack of the wings to the horizontal axis
- The speed of the motor under load
So, for example, can.For example, a ceiling fan (with the same diameter) with 3 blades can have more than twice the air volume and three times the range as a ceiling fan with 5 blades.
But be careful: all the above factors must be coordinated with each other. It is not enough to arbitrarily increase the angle of attack of the wings. The profiling of the wing becomes enormously more important as the angle of attack increases. Because a non-profiled or poorly profiled wing produces one thing in the first place: an enormously strong noise! - Decades of experience make the difference.
With pride, we look back on 25 years of experience in the development, production and distribution of ceiling fans üvia specialized trade partners. Some of our models, e.g. the ROYAL series, has become a classic in the German-speaking countries over the years. Hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers speak a clear language.
This head start in experience is constantly being incorporated into newly developed models. And even commercial products like Hunter, Vortice or Fanimation have to meet our strict quality and performance criteria before we can recommend them to our retail partners and to you. - Not every ceiling fan is suitable for every purpose.
Consult us if you have üspecial requirements for your ceiling fan beyond the decorative purpose. We will be happy to help you choose the right product and Lösung your special problem further.
With all CasaFan ceiling fans you can be sure that the above factors are optimally matched to each other. Air performance, range of air flow, energy consumption and loudness are optimized, and differ significantly from the products that are sold although visually ähnlich in cheap märkte. You will enjoy and benefit from your CasaFan ceiling fan for a long time.
