Design dark radiator with medium-wave and long-wave infrared radiation without visible light, 3000 watt, 3 x 4.5 A, 380 - 400 V / ~50/60 Hz, degree of protection IP55, colour matt black anodized, 1.8 m silicone connection cable, with wall/ceiling mount. Heating area approx. 12 m². A residual current switch (FI) with a tripping current of 30 mA must be connected upstream.

For indoor use, the external XT16-3P controller or an equivalent controller must be used to comply with the Ecodesign Regulation EU 2015/1188, which controls the use of the device via a room thermostat, a weekday control, an operating time limit and an "open window detection".

The devices are designed for selective heating of defined areas and are not suitable as sole room heating.

Due to the type of IR radiation (long-wave) for outdoor use only effective in absolutely windless areas.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR DARK RADIANT HEATERS WITH FIXED CONNECTION IP5X

  • This device is intended solely for the purpose of heating people by means of radiant heat and maintaining this heat.
  • The radiant heater is designed for outdoor use only.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children under the age of 3 must not be left unsupervised near the radiant heater.
  • Children between the ages of 3 and 8 must not operate, clean or maintain the appliance.
  • Dispose of the packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation, e.g. if swallowed!
  • Children must never be allowed to play with the appliance.
  • Check the mains cable and the appliance for damage before each use.
  • If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service centre or a similarly qualified person.
  • Do not use the appliance in small rooms that are used by people who cannot leave these rooms independently.
  • The radiant heater must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres or in rooms in which flammable gases can occur or enter.
  • The radiant heater may only be mounted horizontally and only with the original mounting accessories.
  • A two-pole switch with a contact width of at least 3 mm must be connected upstream of the radiant heater.
  • The distance to the ceiling must be 30 cm for wall mounting and 50 cm to the side of the wall or objects. The spotlight must have at least 1.5 m clearance to the front. The distance to the ceiling is specified by the mounting accessories.
  • The appliance must not be installed on a ceiling made of flammable material (e.g. wood).
  • The heater must be installed at a minimum height of 1.8 m.
  • The heater must not be directed towards the ceiling or towards flammable objects.
  • The appliance must not be operated directly below or in front of a socket outlet.
  • Before switching on the radiant heater, make sure that there are no objects, curtains, flammable material, etc. in the vicinity that could catch fire.
  • Ensure that the connection cable cannot touch the radiant heater or hang in the radiation area.
  • The voltage specification on the rating plate must match the local mains voltage.
  • The mains connection to which the radiant heater is connected must comply with the applicable local standards and be installed in accordance with regulations. It must have an earth connection and the radiant heater must be connected to it.
  • A residual current circuit breaker with a tripping current of 30 mA must be connected upstream of the heater.
  • Never switch on the appliance when it is lying on the floor or a work surface. Otherwise there is a risk of fire.
  • Never touch an electrical appliance if your hands are wet or if you are barefoot.
  • The radiant heater becomes very hot during operation. Never touch it during operation or shortly after switching it off. Allow the heater to cool down sufficiently before touching it.
  • Never come closer than 50 cm to the heater in the radiation area. Risk of burns!
  • All users must be informed about the operation and safety of the appliance. The instructions supplied with the appliance must be kept for reference.
  • Route the mains cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not run the cable over sharp edges and never crush the cable.
  • Never use the appliance in places where it could fall or be knocked into water.
  • If smoke develops during operation, always disconnect the power supply. If you are unable to determine and eliminate the cause, contact the manufacturer, its customer service or a suitably qualified person.
  • Always switch off the radiant heater after use and disconnect the power supply.
  • Never immerse an electrical appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not expose the radiant heater to harmful environmental influences (direct, heavy rain, strong sunlight, etc.).
  • Maintenance must be carried out once a year. Check that the fastenings are secure. Check the mains cable and the heater for visible damage. If the mains cable is damaged, take the radiant heater out of operation. Contact the manufacturer, its customer service or a suitably qualified person.
