- This appliance is intended solely for the purpose of catching insects and thus minimising pest infestation.
- Please check the appliance for completeness and visible damage after unpacking. In the event of damage, contact the manufacturer or dealer.
- Dispose of the packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation, e.g. if swallowed!
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Never push objects through the protective grille. Do not attempt to put your fingers through the protective grid. Do not touch the internal high-voltage grille.
- The voltage specification on the rating plate must match the local mains voltage.
- The mains connection to which the insect trap is connected must comply with the applicable local standards and be installed in accordance with regulations. It must have an earth connection and the insect trap must be connected to this. Models 300, 301, 304, 309, 305E, 307E and 308E do not require earthing of the mains connection as they are double insulated.
- Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of gas, highly flammable or explosive liquids or in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Check the mains cable and the appliance for damage before each use. If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service centre or a similarly qualified person.
- Never touch the insect trap with wet or damp hands.
- Do not expose an electrical appliance to a direct jet of water.
- Never immerse an electrical appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not expose the insect trap to harmful environmental influences (direct, heavy rain, strong sunlight, etc.) unless it is expressly suitable for this (models 305E, 307A, 307E, 308A, 308E are splash-proof, models 300, 301, 304, 309 are only suitable for dry indoor areas).
- Always switch off the insect trap after use. If you are not going to use it for a longer period of time, unplug the mains plug.
- Do not pull the mains plug out of the socket by the cable. Grip the plug and not the cable when pulling it out.
- Do not make any modifications or alterations to the appliance.
- Route the mains cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not route the cable over sharp edges and do not crush the cable under any circumstances.
- The insect trap uses a UV-A lamp to attract insects. If this is broken, the appliance must not be used.
- Do not expose human skin and eyes to direct radiation from UV-A lamps at distances of less than 1 m (lamp power up to 30 W, models 300, 301, 304 and 309) or 1.6 m (lamp power > 30 W, models 305E, 307A, 307E, 308A, 308A).
