Guide for ceiling fans
Mounting a ceiling fan on "Berlin ceilings".
The attachment of ceiling fans to so-called "Berlin ceilings", is possible as follows:
It is usually high rooms in old buildings with little load-bearing plaster / reed ceilings, often with stucco decorations. The only load-bearing suspension option is provided by disused gas pipes, which are routed horizontally through the ceiling and were used to supply gas lights in the past.
Fixing of the NORDIK series (hook fixing): Provide gas pipe with a hole and thread M8 or M10 through both pipe walls. Provide appropriate hook with snap ring and nut and screw it in. Secure by means of nut against unscrewing!
Fixing all CasaFan models: provide gas pipe with two holes at a distance of about 10 cm and one thread M8 or M10 through each of the two pipe walls. Provide appropriate screws with snap ring and screw down retaining bracket (models with ceiling rod) or mounting plate (flat models).
Use Locktite for thread locking!
