Optionally operable with a commercial switch, 2-stage (50% - 100%)  with changeover switch at model AAREN V or a built-in infrared remote control at model AAREN VD with 3 stages (33% - 66% - 100% power), the devices of the AAREN family provide a gently enveloping, pleasant heat sensation. The secret lies in the infrared radiation generated: it heats mainly people and objects and not the ambient air. Both models have a 3 m long rubber cable H05SS-F for fixed connection. The wall and ceiling brackets are included and ensure the minimum distance of 95 mm.

The units are designed for the selective heating of defined areas and are not suitable as sole room heating.

Due to the nature of IR radiation (predominantly medium-wave), effective for outdoors in sheltered, semi-open areas with little wind movement.

For indoor use, the external Control XT16 or an equivalent control must be used, which controls the use of the device via a room thermostat, day of the week control, operating time limitation and „open window detection“. Otherwise, the deviceät loses the CE marking.

The minimum installation height is 1.8 m, the maximum installation height is 3.0 m, depending on the model and application. Despite the low walking temperature on the Rück side of max. 100 °C, the mounting surface should be made of non-combustible materials or, in the case of mounting on combustible surfaces (wooden beams), the „EXTENSION“ #7706 spacer should be used. For wall mounting, the distance to the ceiling must be at least 30 cm and the lateral distance to walls at least 50 cm.
